According to NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 1 in 4 struggle with mental illness each and every day, and that is just a statistic from those who reach out for help. I know for a fact the numbers are much higher.
Your probability of experiencing some level of mental illness in your lifetime, whether it is situational or chronic, is almost 100%. Throughout life, we go through stressful and traumatic events that shape us into who we are.
This episode was created to give you a general idea of if you are dealing with a mental illness. I am reviewing five different symptoms that are usually pretty common throughout all types of mental health issues. I also talk about five different ways to better your mindset with or without help, some advice on finding a professional right for you, and activities that really helped me overcome my mental illness.
