⚠️ CAN YOU TRAIN WHEN FASTING? ⚠️

💡Fasting has many health benefits that you've probably heard of by now. But one question I constantly get asked is about training whilst fasting and whether or not it is counter. Especially now, with #ramadan around the corner, it's the perfect time to delve into some #science and get the answer.

⚠️ Long story short: fasting has little to no effect on the results seen in three common training modalities: endurance, strength, and high intensity interval training.

⏭ It comes down to a personal preference insofar as how you feel when you're fasting and whether or not you have the energy to complete the workout. There is no one size fits all in fitness, the best choice you can make is one that you can maintain long term. So if fasted training seems impossible, then there is nothing lost (or gained) in moving your workout to another time in the day!
