Join Pastor James at Kingswood Church as we celebrate the summer season and continue our sermon series, Wild Life: Experiencing Jesus Through Spiritual Habits. We all have habits…some good and some not so good. How can we practice habits that make us love Jesus and each other more? Based on the theme of wildlife and wild animals, we will experience Bible stories about the habits of preparing, healing, welcoming, and restoring as we journey with Jesus. Today we hear the story of Jesus healing two women as he boldly offers the habit of helping, healing, and restoring people. How is God calling you to HELP?

This theme is also our Vacation Bible School theme, and we will journey with our children in June to learn holy habits that will draw us closer to Christ. This week we hear the story of John the Baptist calling us to prepare for a trip with Jesus.

Join Kingswood Church and Pastor James as we celebrate Memorial Weekend and remember those who
have died serving our nation. We continue in the season of Pentecost, celebrating the gift of the Holy Spirit, as promised by Jesus. Colors of red, orange, and yellow remind us of the fire and power of the Spirit in our lives and faith. At the Buffalo Grove campus, we celebrate the
sacrament of baptism and also rejoice in the confirmation of one of our youth. The two events help us remember our own baptism and commitment to say “Here I Am, Lord! - Send Me!” Come, Holy Spirit, Come!

Join Pastor James and Kingswood Church as we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, the coming of the Holy Spirit,
and the birth of the church. Colors are red, yellow, and orange to celebrate the fire and energy of this day! We will also celebrate the act of confirmation today as we confirm our youth into faith in Jesus Christ and they commit themselves to Jesus. Pentecost ends the 50 days of Easter as the Holy Spirit leads the church forward in ministry and mission. Welcome and may the Spirit inspire
you to reaffirm your faith in Christ today!

Please join Kingswood Church as we celebrate Mother’s Day and rejoice in the witness of strong and faithful women who have encouraged and empowered us in our faith journeys. Mother’s Day began in May of 1907 in the Methodist Episcopal Church in Grafton, West Virginia, when Anna Jarvis wanted to honor her mother who had died two years previous. The Methodist Church began the movement to make it a national holiday that honored mothers and those like mothers who had shared their faith and worked for love and peace in every place. Today, we honor and remember all women in our lives and faith as we hear the powerful witness of Queen Esther against injustice and also experience the profound description of strong women in Proverbs 31.

Join Pastor James as we celebrate the music ministries at both of our campuses. When we experience the glory of the Lord, we are inspired to praise God with song, music,
instruments, words, and more. Today, we hear beautiful words from the prophet Ezekiel who calls us to open ourselves to God’s glory. Through worship, we are lifted up, even in our most challenging realities. We give thanks for music ministries: Bell Choir, Allelus, King’s Men, Buffalo Grove and Deerfield Chancel Choirs, Praise Band, Children’s Chimes, Youth Praise Band, Youth Orchestra, soloists, and special music.
