San Antonio Tri-Centennial City on a Mission Gonzo

Today San Antonio Texas is the 7th largest city in America but, 300 years ago this tri-centennial city was a large native American village called Yanaguana.
In 1691, one man would change Yanaguana’s name forever. In 1718, another man would found a mission, right here, near that native American village.

Question: “Who were these men of destiny 300 years ago that were “changing names” and “founding missions” that history would remember as the founding fathers?”

During the fight for Texas Independence how many Texians could say that they were at almost all of the major battles including the battle of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto?
