A320 normal procedures & Memory Items Training. Orlando Soto
-
- Education
The Normal Procedures chapter outlines the techniques that the flight crew should apply during each flight phase to optimize the use of the aircraft.
The flight crew should read the Normal.
The Procedures chapter, in conjunction with the FCOM, provides the normal procedures and their associated task-sharing, callouts, and checklists.
All of these flying techniques apply to normal conditions.
MEMORY ITEMS
I want to help my colleagues with a training and practice method for memory items.
I hope it helps you.
A big hug, Orlando.

EGPWS A320 memory item
EGPWS stands for Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System, a safety feature in aircraft designed to alert pilots if they are in danger of colliding with the ground or obstacles.
While I can provide general information about EGPWS, I cannot provide specific memory items for Airbus aircraft as they can vary depending on the airline's procedures and the specific aircraft model.
Memory items are typically part of the aircraft's operating manual and are specific to each airline's standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Pilots are trained to memorize these items to ensure a quick and effective response in emergencies.
For the most accurate information, pilots should refer to their airline's documentation or training materials.
Memory item
Simultaneously:
AP - OFF
PITCH - PULL UP (Full back stick pressure and maintain)
THURST LEVERS - TOGA
SPEED BRAKES - CHECK RETRACTED
BANK - WINGS LEVEL or ADJUST
(Wings level gives the best climb performance however you may add bank if it is for safety)
You should NOT change aircraft configuration
(Slats/Flaps/Gear) until you are clear of obstacles) -

SAFETY EXTERIOR INSPECTION
Items marked by asterisks (*) are the only steps to be completed after a transit stop without flight
crew change. Otherwise, the new flight crew performs all the items.
This inspection ensures that the aircraft and its surroundings are safe for operations.
On arriving at the aircraft, check for obstructions in the vicinity, engineering activity, refueling, etc.
* WHEEL CHOCKS.................................................................................................................. CHECK
If the wheel chocks are not in position, the flight crew must check that the parking brake is set with
sufficient accumulator pressure.
* LANDING GEAR DOORS....................................................................................CHECK POSITION
WARNING Do not pressurize the green hydraulic system without clearance from ground
personnel if any gear door is open. Remember that the green hydraulic system is
pressurized if the yellow system is pressurized and the PTU is on AUTO.
* APU AREA............................................................................................................................. CHECK
Observe that the APU inlet and outlet are clear.
