My personal statement for biochemistry | 4 out of 4 offers

    | Time stamps: a) final Personal Statement 08:50 b) unabbreviated Personal Statement (what I would have included in addition) 14:21 and c) Personal statement for medicinal chemistry/pharmacology in 2018 21:18 |

Currently, I have a confirmed place for biochemistry at Warwick university and I will move there soon (25th September 2021).  I applied for biochemistry this April for 2021 entry; i.e. months after the UCAS deadline (which is actually the deadline for equal consideration). I applied to the University of Nottingham, Liverpool, Warwick and Lancaster University. Except Lancaster, I met and exceeded all the grade requirements and received offers from all four (including Lancaster). Initially I wanted to apply to the University of Glasgow as well but later withdrew my application.   I am reading out my personal statement that I used on my UCAS application but you must know that this is my second undergraduate degree and that I am a mature student.  The personal statement of a student just finishing sixth form (or after taking a gap year) will look somewhat different.   The article I've mentioned is called "Antidepressants and the chemical imbalance theory of depression: A reflection and update on the discourse." and can be found here https://psycnet.apa.org/record/2015-5...

    Preparing to leave for Warwick

    Preparing to leave for Warwick

Less than 3 weeks to go, so it was time to book my transportation to uni. As I'm currently in Germany, I booked the coach, rather than a plane ticket, because this way I can take 2x20kg suitcases and a piece of hand luggage with me. There are some travel COVID-19 restrictions I will face on the coach journey (going from Germany to France to Belgium and back to Calais in France) to London Victoria and I'll explain them to you.

    Enrolment process at Warwick

    Enrolment process at Warwick

In this episode I'm going to talk to you about my experience with the enrolment process at Warwick University. At first, I received an email from the university for the online enrolment dashboard and from there I could continue with the course registration and upload my photo for my student ID card.
