EP16 (S02E02): A not so straightforward path to US citizenship - Is there even one?

Your hosts, which now includes Lorrie due to Karen's impressive skills in persuasion, have a lively discussion about the difficult subject of undocumented immigrants and if there is a clear cut path to US citizenship. Isn't the answer simple? Well, Karen isn't your typical Karen, in case you haven't figured out by now, so yes, the answer is simple...as US citizens, there is no reason NOT to support a path to citizenship for all undocumented immigrants currently residing in this great country of ours. This is an obvious over-simplification of the discussion where the answer isn't quite so simple, as you all will find out once you take a listen. What?! Did you really think that the whole podcast would be summarized in this description? Your hosts, think not.

If you agree, disagree or have anything that you'd like to add, feel free to hit us up.

EP15 (S02E01): Happy Lunar New Year and Embracing Diversity

EP15 (S02E01): Happy Lunar New Year and Embracing Diversity

Happy Lunar New Year! In this episode, your hosts attempt to spread awareness and challenge each other’s beliefs on diversity and acceptance. No matter your ethnic background and cultural differences, it was decided that we all wish to just get along with everyone. Respect and kindness to all seems to be the key missing factors in the rising tensions between the different groups. Your hosts would like to challenge you to look within yourselves and think about ways we all can bridge the gap and learn how to appreciate the beauty of all our differences! Likewise, if you see someone being abused, don’t be afraid to take action. It only takes one...

EP14: Self Care, Mental Health, and Guys

Ahhhhh...Guys, guys, guys, and Matthew McConaug-HEEEEY! That's right, ladies... your hosts have a Magic Mike discussion while welcoming back the podcast's first ever returning guest, Lorrie!  In this episode, your hosts give attention to men and self-care and their mental health because, let’s face it, it’s not all about women and it was a joy putting Wil on the hot seat. On a serious note, Karen, Wil, and Lorrie discussed respecting and acknowledging men’s coping strategies and focused on discussing some steps towards normalization of expression of emotions and understanding how men de-stress. Ladies and men listen up and let us all strive to be better and kinder to one another. 💜

Talking Heads: Karen (host) and Wil (Co)

Guest: Lorrie (1st ever returning guest!!)

    EP13: Election 2020

    EP13: Election 2020

In this week's episode, Karen and Wil sells out and gets controversial with POLITICS! Election 2020 in the United States has been an experience, to say the least, and your hosts have a healthy debate on the hows and whys for voting. They don't claim to be experts in politics and can be heard many times in the podcast saying just that! Therefore, a disclaimer that all of the issues discussed are solely Karen and Wil's opinions and feelings. With that aside, your hosts encourages everyone to have and continue having healthy and respectful discussions. Not everything needs to be politicized and it's perfectly fine to agree to disagree.

Talking Heads:  Karen (host) and Wil (Co)

☕️Coffee of the Day: Triple Coffee Co., Manuel Vallecillo, El Cielto, Santa Barbara, The Divine Espresso (Brewed in a Bonmac ceramic dripper)
