Welcome to my podcast. I am very excited to share relatable and important information with you as we all are navigating our way through life. I was inspired to build this community as a means to educate and equip others with nuggets and life lessons that can help us succeed as we pursue our dreams. In this INTRO I’ll share a little bit about the why behind the podcast and how I have come to realize that we need a platform where our very own experiences can be shared to help others deal with their issues instead of finding out the hard way like I did. I am a mom of two lovely boys and I had my first child at 19 years old so as you can imagine I had to quickly evolve into the role of motherhood very early and with that came it’s unique challenges. I found out that in many instances our experiences are very similar on this journey called life. So it is my hope that if I can help someone else by telling them something that no one else is willing then yes I am happy to do so in this space. I have encountered the ‘information gap’ problem in many instances from acquiring my own home to knowing what to do during a medical emergency and that’s just to name a few. However, it is my hope that this will be the platform to bridge that gap and to give hope to others facing similar challenges. The access to information is not a privilege it is a right and I’m so looking forward to build a community that will enable this!

When Your Words Change Roles MP3

When Your Words Change Roles MP3

In this episode I talk about my family's recent experience with COVID-19. I also share the lesson that was learnt during this period and being able to realize that there is power in the spoken word. All while understanding that your words are never to be underestimated as they are one of the single most powerful raw material you have to build your future and they are activated only when you release them into the atmosphere.

    Finding You

    Finding You

So much is happening all at once. Everybody has access to the internet and everybody has something to sell, promote and say but can you really listen to everybody at the same time and still focus or zone in on what’s important? Where will we get the time! Remember quiet time is necessary to reconnect with what’s most important - Down time is preparation time so choose wisely how you’ll spend it. There’s so much at your fingertips literally yet you still have to choose what you do with those opportunities. Here’s what I have to say on this episode of ‘Finding You’😊

    The Butler Mentality Pt2

    The Butler Mentality Pt2

In this episode I talk about the principle of serving others. It is so easy sometimes to be caught up with our own WANTS and NEEDS that we don’t get to see the countless opportunities available for us to be a blessing to others. It is often in these moments that I think that if we stop focusing on what we don’t have and actually show gratitude for what we do have that we can truly begin to experience and live in the overflow. When we start to embrace this mindset we ultimately shift our focus to think more on how we can serve the needs of others. I also believe that serving should not only be a role that we transition into whenever we enter the work spaces or only when we are mandated to do it but rather it should be an intentional act with absolutely no strings attached. After all it is at the core of who we are and Jesus himself demonstrated this so beautifully by the washing of the feet of His disciples. It is my hope that you will begin to experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from pouring into someone else's life-. Happy Sunday loves😊

    Episode 1 - The Butler Mentality (Pt.1)

    Episode 1 - The Butler Mentality (Pt.1)

In this episode of Telling The Half that Has Never Been Told I share a little backstory of the experiences I had during my earlier years growing up as a child in the country. If it’s one thing that these early years have taught me, if not anything else is that change is imminent and constant. Some experience it a bit earlier than others and I share what I remember as one of the really big changes I had to go through when my parents separated around the time I was about 9 years old. I talk about the impact it had on me and how it influenced some of the decisions I went on to make later on in my teenage years. Not to mention the habits I picked up and the spaces I found myself in. Spaces I had no place being in at the time. Ultimately I was forced to make some really hard and grownup decisions while trying to still figure out who I was as a teen. So I invite you to come along with me in this 2 part segment of my first official episode.
