Working Blind Connor Scott-Gardner

Working blind shares the stories of blind people, their journey to a career and the successes and challenges they have experienced throughout their lives.
I'm Connor Scott-Gardner, a disability rights advocate passionate about accessibility and inclusion. I know that blind people have one of the highest rates of unemployment of all disability groups, and I set out to change that. By connecting with blind people who are in work and sharing their stories I want to offer encouragement to younger blind people, or those who have recently lost their vision. But I also want to show recruiters and business owners that blind people are highly skilled individuals, dedicated to their careers, and they can support you in achieving your business goals.
Listen to our stories, and give us a chance.

Interdependence is key for this blind communications officer. Interview with Kevin Satizabal.
Kevin works as a communications officer for a sight loss organisation in the United Kingdom. Originally from Colombia, he returned to the UK when he was in primary school and had to adapt to learning assistive technology while also learning English. This helped him develop a love of languages, something which is an important part of his career now.
He explored his love of music throughout his childhood and has gone on to tour the world with the orchestras he is a member of.

Martin works for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association UK leading their technology service.
Although initially a reluctant technology user himself he ended up working in the field and wants to ensure that blind people who receive Guide Dogs services can also receive support with technology that will enable them to become more independent.
