    Kadesh Flow

    Kadesh Flow

We welcome into our studio one of KC’s busiest musicians, Kadesh Flow. Kadesh Flow is one of over 60 acts that will be performing on one of the five stages at Boulevardia this weekend in downtown Kansas City around Crown Center (where parking is FREE for this weekend). He’s hustling and working on so many projects that he will actually play on three of the five stages as he’s in a lot of projects.
Armed with his trusty trombone and some tight lyrics, Kadesh Flow’s schedule for Boulevardia 2024 looks like this:
    • Friday at 7PM Kadesh Flow on The Holladay Hill Stage
    • Saturday at 1:15PM with Tiki Brawlers on The Elevate Stage
    • Saturday at 2:25PM with The Phantastics on The Visit Missouri Stage
On the show we’ll hear music from each of this projects, we’ll talk about Boulevardia, we’ll talk about him representing Kansas City at SXSW this past March, we’ll talk about him charting on Billboard, we’ll talk about his recent performance at Kelce Jam with his buddies in Back Alley Brass Band, and we’ll try and figure out how he manages his time between all of these projects. It should be a fun show hanging out with Kadesh in our studio, and Sarah Bradshaw will be along for the ride, producing the show.

    Boulevardia Preview 2024

    Boulevardia Preview 2024

Boulevardia 2024 is coming up in two weekends, June 14 and 15 at Crown Center.
On the show, we’ll dive into things BEYOND just the music happening at the fest. We’ll talk about parking, ticketing options, food trucks, the maker village, a roller skating party, and so much more.
Did you know that the bars at Boulevardia are staffed by some of KC’s hardest-working charities? As you walk around the fest you’ll see amazing people from Midwest Music Foundation, WIN for KC, SocialHeart, KC Pet Project, Cultivate KC, Head For The Cure, Lead to Read KC, Missouri Pit Bull Rescue, and more.
We’ll also inform you of a few late additions to the Boulevardia lineup including Bobby Watson, Tiberias, Tiki Brawlers, and Infinity/Paranoid.
Oh yeah, and we’ll play some music too, all NEW music from several acts on the lineup. We’ll hear new music from some of the headliners: Milky Chance, Thundercat, and Paul Cauthen. From KC acts, we’ll play new stuff from Lava Dreams, Jamogi, Kate Cosentino, JINGRAM, Asia Tsion, Kadesh Flow, and Kemet Coleman.
We’ll also hear a new single from Infinity/Paranoid and I’ll tell you a story and probably get sentimental about why I’m so excited to have them on the lineup.

    Manor Fest 6

    Manor Fest 6

The sixth annual event, Manor Fest 6 begins this Thursday and runs over the next two weeks, running Thursday to Saturday, May 23 to May 25, and then May 30 to June 1. Over those six days, 60 bands will play in 20 venues in six different areas/neighborhoods of Kansas City. A massive tip of the hat to Shaun Crowley and his team and volunteers at Manor Records for pulling this off.
We’ll play music from some of our favorite acts on the lineup, as well as some acts that we know nothing about. We’ll sneak in some of our favorite songs from 2023 and some possible contenders for favorite songs of 2024 as well. During the broadcast, we will play music from Liney Blu, Thimastr, Jolson and the Fear of Snakes, Daniel Gum, Supermoto, EBONY TUSKS, PURE XTC, Fritz Hutchison, Frogpond, Kat King, and Honeybee.

    Upcoming Events

    Upcoming Events

We’ll focus on two upcoming events happening in Kansas City and hear music from acts on those lineups.
First up, we’ll talk about and play music from acts on the annual 2-day event, Lemonade Social, happening this Friday and Saturday at Lemonade Park in The West Bottoms. Friday and Saturday will each feature four acts as well as a day party on Saturday called Sabados. We’ll hear music from EBONY TUSKS, Monta at Odds, Black Light Animals, and a brand new song from Hotel Leo that releases this Friday.
Then we’ll take a look at and dive into the annual 2024 KC Folk Fest, happening on Saturday, May 18 at Washington Square Park in downtown KC. The event features live music, art, a market, poetry, dance performances, and so much more. We’ll hear music from these acts on the lineup: Arquesta Del SolSoul, Madisen Ward, Elexa Dawson of Weda Skirts, and Love, Mae C.
Then we’ll wrap up and hear a song from Arson Class, as featured in the 11th release from the Too Much Rock series of singles. This project is all made possible by the great Sid Crowder as he’s an amazing supporter of KC music and has been curating this series of releases for years.

    The Grisly Hand Farewell Show

    The Grisly Hand Farewell Show

We will sit down LIVE with The Grisly Hand, play some of our favorites from their catalog, and talk about their FINAL show coming up on May 11 at The Ship. It’s called The Grisly Hand Jubilee: Celebrating 15 Years of Music & Friendship. It should be a good and emotional show, also Sarah Bradshaw will be part of the broadcast.
