He has spent the majority of his career researching and documenting the far-right in America, since the 1970's. His latest book, Alt-America: The Rise of the Radical Right in the Age of Trump, describes how the extreme right has been growing steadily in number and influence since the 1990s but reached a stelar level after the former presenter of The Apprentice was elected.
