    • Parenting

In this episode, Lori Sims, founder of Nacho Kids Nacho Parenting, talks to stepmom Veronica Andrews. Veronica is the author of “Heal Stepmom Burnout”. She has been blending for 15 years, has two stepkids, and is child-free by choice.
In this episode, we discuss the following:
Changes in custody time
Losing yourself
Finding the balance
Stepmom burnout
Wanting what is best for the kids
Nacho Kids Academy Success Story:
“My stepkid is 20 years old. Does nothing but lay on the couch playing on their phone all day. It was driving me crazy. Like, really. I lost my composure several times. An attorney recommended Nacho Kids to me. They were friends of my husbands and my husband told them I was going crazy. I joined the Academy and immediately started doing the bootcamp. It wasn’t easy and I understand why it’s a 30-day course, there’s a lot to it. Day 7 I was finally seeing that things could be different. I finished the bootcamp and said what the heck and did the thinking challenge next. I thought the bootcamp was good, but wow! That thinking one is mind blowing! And I definitely know now why Lori says to do the bootcamp first and to do them separately.
I’ve learned through Lori and David’s nacho academy that I can choose to be a part of the solution or a part of the problem. I chose to be a part of the solution.” ~ R.R.
