Still at the mercy of her beast, Doris hid in a closet and berated Evangeline, who decided it was best to wait for Doris’s compulsions to wear off and search the recreation centre in the meantime. Back at the Malkavian headquarters, Val contended with her own beast. Everett tried to placate her, but when Val moved to attack Sam Buttwise, Everett stepped in and found himself pushed through a wall by his deputy. Will the coterie overcome their beasts in time to salvage what’s left of the night?

While Val and Everett continued their investigation at the Malkavian headquarters, Doris and Evangeline debated how to get the clan leaders on their side as they returned to the recreation centre in search of evidence that might have been missed. When inside, Doris’s beast was consumed with paranoia and she sought refuge at the bottom of the corpse pile, where she followed a vision to retrieve a mysterious journal. Evangeline managed to pull her out, but Doris looked up and only saw Horatio.

The coterie decided to divide and conquer. While Doris and Evangeline made their way back to the recreation centre to gather more evidence, Val and Everett investigated the Malkavian headquarters. Val was stuck with new clan leader Sam Buttwise and was forced to apologize to him for having unlawfully detained him. Everett, meanwhile, searched Horatio’s office and quarters, and when Val finally rejoined him, they discovered a secret compartment with millions of dollar in gold bars. Will Doris and Evangeline have similar luck?

Under orders from the Prince to expose one of the clan leaders as Lilith, the coterie ran out of alternatives, and Everett reluctantly executed the least impactful option: Fabienne Lacroix. Doris and Evangeline then left to get fresh eyes on the grim scene at the recreation centre, and Val and the sheriff arrived at the Malkavian to gather more intel about the Right Hand’s activities. But can they salvage their relationship with newly-elected clan leader Sam Buttwise?
