Is God Asking You To Step It Up A Notch This Year?

Is God Asking You To Step It Up A Notch This Year?

Welcome to a brand new year. I am excited a pumped but at the same time. I am not going into this year thinking that just because the dates of the year have rolled over that things will be just back to normal.
But instead, I am going to embrace the opportunities that come before me and do the best that I can with them. Not asking God to take them away, but to ask the Holy Spirit for the wisdom of how to navigate so I can learn and grow into a better vessel for God in all that we do.
We are just four weeks out from the cut date that our tickets close for the conference, it’s coming around fast!! Exited much! To avoid not getting a bed and to not miss out on the conference I encourage you to get your ticket purchased now to save your spot!
This also means we are 6 weeks away from launching CWIL! Holy Moly, don’t panic.
When God gave me the word that I needed to expand my tent to allow growth for CWIB and CWIL I decided to do a couple of things and I hope that this encourages you in your Esteem if God’s ask you to take it up a noch in your business to this year.
I have to admit, it was when I was feeling really worn out and was deciding whether to go on or not that God told me it’s time to expand. At a point where I felt like I had given CWIB all I had.
That’s the turning point also where CWIL start to perk her head up and I knew it was time to start working towards our sister arm too.
It’s always when we’re in moments of despair where these things come out.
And so I looked at what I was really worn out with doing, because if I was going to continue with CWIB and launch CWIL I needed to bring in some reinforcements.
The two things that came up for me were…
    1. Marketing (believe it or not, now I love marketing, I love all that I do with The Automation Girl) but I feel I am all out in this area. I’ve given it my 110% but I knew that if we’re going to expand that marketing was one of the areas I wanted to get some more heads involved and do fill in the spaces that I am not willing to do or learn in marketing and that’s paid ads.
Nearly everything we’ve done in our marketing up until this point has been organic apart from a few ads.
So we have taken on a team to help us do that. To help us recognise our weaknesses and see them as opportunities to grow and improve.
    2. The day to day running of CWIB and conference organisation, especially with the whole COVID thing which really hurts my head. It’s not trusting in God bit that hurts. It’s all the paperwork and special things we have to do at the conference that hurts my head.
So getting someone in to help me with making sure everything is running tick-tock and to help with that side of things for the conference is a HUGE help and has freed my mind.
I must say, these are all God, faith moves. We’re not a million-dollar business. But we are a faithful one and we believe that when God gives us a word then we move on it, no questions asked. So we have.
With this has had come some growth and belief on my part and if you’re feeling like it’s time to pump up the reves I know that you’re going to be feeling those growing pains too.
Self-doubt may have kicked in, being challenged to do different things in your marketing. That’s one that has really had me out of my comfort zones.
Yes, I do the podcasts for CWIB and my face is the founder’s face but I have always hidden behind the brand and thought that I need to set up a personal brand to keep me out of CWIB as much as possible. I believe or believed it’s about the community and not me.
As Jess and I met to talk about the marketing plans for CWIB (Jess if you’re listening haha!) We had a great discussion about this as Jess went through a similar thing I am going through. That’s being ok with putting your face with the brand and not hiding behind it.
It’s being ok with talking about what matters t

    When Hard Perseverance Pays Off

    When Hard Perseverance Pays Off

Today I was doing some research into how our podcast are going as the year comes to an end, I don’t do it very often because I like to focus on serving people and giving value over the numbers but I thought I would jump on and have a look. We’ve had over 300,000 downloads!
I couldn’t believe it when I looked. So before we get into the podcast today I just want to spend some time and thank you all who listen! You mean the world to me and I am so very grateful for your support and loyalty to our show.
It takes ALOT of hard work and time behind the scenes to put a podcast together, we have been going for nearly four years now and that’s a lot of time of me talking to myself in a room with a microphone.
I have to say, it’s still a very weird thing to talk to yourself into a microphone, compared to an audience where you can see peoples expressions and really interact with them.
I really do hope that our podcast inspires you in your business journey and you hear God’s sweet voice and promptings talking to your or that He drops those golden nuggets for you as you listen.
I don’t normally do this either but I would love it, if you could please go onto iTunes or whichever software you listen to this podcast through and give us a review and share it with your friends. All the reviews really do help me keep going with the show and let me know that our listeners are really humans and not just a download number on my screen.
I have to be honest. There have been times when I have wanted to give up the podcast, but I’ve had amazing people around me who have encouraged me to keep going and God always ends up putting something in my heart to talk about. But I can’t say it’s been easy to be consistent and keep going week after week.
How blessed am I to have this podcast one might think. But it’s in the hard work and perseverance when we really get tested. Do we have what it takes to keep going, to keep trusting in God, especially when we don’t get instant gratification in what we’re working towards?
You might be at a point of wanting to give up something in your business too. I hope that my persistence with this podcast will give you encouragement to don’t give up on the things you’ve been struggling with.
We’re all human, we all have days where we really don’t want to do things in our businesses, but I want to be that person for you today, that prays for God’s strength to come to you now and a refreshing over your soul with a fresh perspective and fresh encouragement. May God’s freedom in business give you strength, creativity, and grit with grace.
You’ve got this lady, and I and God are so proud of you!
Most of us in Australia will be taking time off now for the summer holidays, so all the ladies out there whose taking that time off I pray that the Holy Spirit heal you from a challenging year, that you create beautiful memories with your loved ones and for those who find Christmas time hard, that instead God will bring His amazing peace to your heart.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time spent listening to our episodes, I want to thank Chris & Lou from Mathieson Media and The Administration Agency for helping to edit the podcasts and for making us sound good (if you’re after an awesome podcast editor Chris is your guys) and enjoy the time you have off and really rest in God’s grace knowing He has you and your business while you take time off.
From all of us at CWIB, Merry Christmas and have the best summer holiday ever!

How God Can Use A Secular Business Space For A Bigger Plan

How God Can Use A Secular Business Space For A Bigger Plan

In this week’s podcast, we have Jody Milward as guest.  Jody is the CEO of Social Charlie – Facebook Advertising Agency, and provides Facebook Ad & Sales Funnel Training. Jody can speak and teach on Facebook Ads and Marketing Strategies and is currently writing her first book “What Facebook Ads Have Taught Me About Life” as well as messages about work/life balance and being an overcomer.
Have a listen to her as she shares her journey and how she incorporates God in her business.
    Her top 5 tips:

Mindset – No, you’re not a bad ad manager if you can’t help everyone. Does your client have a clear message and avatar? Only 20% of your campaigns are going to work.  Skillset – What have you been able to learn about FB ads to make the right the decisions in the space? Boundaries – What are they for you? What are you putting in the scope? What are your working times? Community – Tap into a community that’s right for you and can give you help when you need it in the ad space. Desire to learn – Be willing to keep learning and learning every day to help build your wisdom in the space.
Her Bible verse in this season:

Isaiah 60:1-4 “Arise, shine, for your light has come,     and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. 2 See, darkness covers the earth     and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you     and his glory appears over you. 3 Nations will come to your light,     and kings to the brightness of your dawn. 4 “Lift up your eyes and look about you:     All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar,     and your daughters are carried on the hip.

5 Simple Practical Steps to Align Your Business with God

5 Simple Practical Steps to Align Your Business with God

Aligning your business with God for some may seem like a totally out-there concept to bring business and God together and for others a walk in the park and they are all over it.
I know being on this business journey for eight years now that there are seasons where I feel I am so close to God I can hear Him breathe and there are other seasons where life just gets SO busy I don’t feel like I have taken the time to spend with God and life can feel a little empty and you ask yourself if you’re actually aligned with God.
Whatever season you’re in, I am not here to condemn you or give you another thing to add to your “To-Do” list. Instead, I am going to give you some simple practical steps you can do throughout the day to get yourself and your business realigned and back in the swing of things with Jesus by your side.
Before we get into the steps I want to just put two things on the table.
Firstly, even though you might be feeling distant right now, God is still with you and the Holy Spirit is still inside you. He’s not gone anywhere and He’s here to stay, so even though you might be “feeling” alone. You’re not, God is with you and He has you.
Second, personally, I believe people have put way too much enthusiast into the “your calling”, “finding your calling” and “hearing the voice of God” so please don’t feel like just because you can’t “hear” the voice of God you’re not a good person or less of a person or Christian either. That’s a silly lie, God is with you because when you gave your life to Jesus the Holy Spirit entered in your soul and all that’s available in heaven is right at your fingertips. You got this, and God’s got you!
We’re going to go through this aligning process in a very gentle way.
I encourage you, even if you’re a dedicated prayer warrior to still take part in this exercise as God can speak to everyone at all different stages.
    1. Let’s start with the foundations – The dream – Sugar, God has given you a passion, dream or vision for a reason. That niggling feeling you have in your heart to change the world or to have/start your business. God put it there. Listen to it. By listening to it, you’re naturally walking in obedience and yes there will be tough times, times of learning, adapting and making tough decisions BUT by taking the step, you’re aligning yourself with whom God made you.
    2. Jesus is the CEO of your business, but most importantly He is your Saviour. Salvation first, business second! I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve sat down with God to “talk about business” and the next thing I know He’s taking me through some healing in my life that’s TOTALLY NOT BIZ RELATED! lol. Ouchy! It’s still important that Jesus has access to every part of your life, yes we totally want Him to be part of our business and to guide us, asking the Holy Spirit for wisdom and knowledge is a great thing to do, but don’t make it all about business either.
God still wants to relate to you on a deeper level, He’s got your business sorted honey, He is more interested in your heart!
    3. If something doesn’t seem right on a phone call or in a meeting, (you know, that sicky feeling when you know something isn’t right that you get in your belly) LISTEN TO IT. That’s the Holy Spirit telling you something isn’t right. Be brave, listen to the feeling and stand your ground. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what the problem is, but DO NOT say yes to something just to people-please or to because you feel you have to.
A polite, “Thank you so much for this wonderful offer, but at this time I am going to have to pass.” if fine! We don’t need to explain our decisions to anyone.
God will bless you in your obedience, even when it’s saying “Not now” to something.
    4. Don’t be afraid to ask God for help. Or ask Him to put someone around y

A Heart to Heart About the Needs of a Female Godly Leader

A Heart to Heart About the Needs of a Female Godly Leader

We posted a quote on Instagram back in 2020 that goes something like this…

“If you’re too comfortable, it’s time to move on. Terrified of what’s next? You’re right on track.”Susan Fales-HillRight now, we are on the side of feeling not terrified, but definitely out of our comfort zones with what’s going to happen next!
We always knew Christian Women in Business was going to be bigger than we could ever imagine, but when we first launched, we had no idea that it was going to have a sister arm, yet here I am, writing this article to you today, feeling like a fish out of water as we prepare to launch our sister arm of CWIB – Christian Women in Leadership!
I mean WOW – God you have blown our minds!
So, what is Christian Women in Leadership and how is it going to serve women in the leadership space?
We are so humble and proud of how we serve our members in CWIB, and we know that God has changed and touched so many lives through it. We can only expect that CWIL is going to take things to the next level and really do some amazing things for those that have been tasked with the glorious title of “leaders” in His kingdom.
You may find the word “leadership” challenging and overwhelming right now, but I want to tell you that God has done incredible things in your life and it is just the beginning.
Step by step, women are discovering what God wants to do through them, using their gifts and callings.

“Be constant in prayer; keep alert with thanksgiving”One thing that we can promise is that we will be praying for our beautiful women in leadership – those who are in the prime position of influence and who can glorify God in many ways. A position of leadership is considered one of privilege to God and one thing that we encourage our leaders to do is to give thanks as a means of praise and staying alert.
Who is called to be a leader?
A leader is someone who makes a difference, who lives for things bigger than them and is on a mission to make positive change.
Taking people on the journey with you is one of the keys to successful leadership and that is the foundation of our CWIL – to support you on your journey that by God’s grace, you have been given. There is so much joy in being a leader for our God!
When I was dreaming up CWIL I sat down for an afternoon and wrote down all the things that I felt I needed as a leader and I would like to share with you want’s on my heart and what needs I have, as I figured, if I am feeling this way. Others might too…
    So here they are:
I want a safe place to confineConnect with other “high-level” leaders who get the bigger vision.Be around those who understand spiritual warfare to the next level and deal with it on a regular basis.A community of women I can trust without judgementI want to be around powerful, authoritative women, not full of ego, but weapons, who just lead the pack & aren’t afraid to do so. Women who are making BIG God moves and understand risk.A network to make deals with. Not another coaching or course. But a community of real women who are in it.The most powerfulQualityLegacy workHelp spread the Word.
CWIL will empower you, encourage you and support you. We will give you the keys to:
be a transformational leaderunderstand your role as a leader for God and how to apply His principlesbe inspired and feel connected as a part of a wider communitybe determined and clear in your vision & values so you can stand your ground when times get tough.be mindful of the fruitsbe God-fearing in your leadershipspeak wisdom and strengthcreate innovative strategies to encourageBe supported by a community of other like minded women who get how lonely it can feel in the leadership role and be there for you in your toughest, or what we like to call “break through” moments.
So if you’re an Intelligent, Ambitious, Godly Leaders who would like To Come & Re
