Episode 163: The Ghoul of Grays Harbor

Episode 163: The Ghoul of Grays Harbor

The Pacific Northwest was said to be terrorized by a serial killer in the early 20th century. A local police chief told reporters that he believed that they were dealing with “the greatest murderer of the age.” But the real story was a lot more complex, and the wealthiest and most influential people in town were interested in keeping it quiet.

“They saw him as a thorn in their side and as a person who needed to be removed.”

Next level stuff

After episode 158 I can confidently say that this podcast has moved to next the level, award winning reporting. This podcast alone challenges what we deem to be criminal and what we don’t, and why. Moving across history and time, in the era of true crime reporting, it sits above and on the outskirts of us voyeurs of the grim and gory and asks if we truly understand what we mean when we label something criminal. Brilliant brilliant work.

Brilliant!

I absolutely love this podcast. The episodes are extremely well researched, interestingly presented and always surprising. It gives insights into the criminal world, and human nature, from perspectives you would never expect. I’m always excited to see a new episode in my feed.
