Finding opportunity through the NHI

In May 2024, South Africa passed the NHI(National Health Insurance) bill which is set to radically change how the medical aid industry will work. It is designed to allow equal access to medical treatment across the country. This is going to give a proper shakeup to the industry, so we decided to unpack it and look at how new opportunities can be created on the back of this by looking at countries like the UK who have adopted a similar system.
