Social media 'influencing' is big business - a $7 billon business in 2019. Kylie Jenner made herself a billionaire from influencing us. Companies know how we're wired: we're all influenced by something. Our make-up, our clothes, our holidays, our hobbies, our lifestyle, our ambitions, our hopes, our careers - all our decisions are influenced by something or someone. The question is: who?
Who shapes you? Who sets your direction? Where will they lead you? Will it be worth it? Can they be trusted? Can you be sure they won't disappoint you?
There's only one 'influencer' who is completely trustworthy, who will not leave us facing death empty-handed at the end of our journey, and will not use us for his own ends before dumping us when we've nothing left. He's called Jesus. He's the only influencer worth following.

We're all wired to pour our our time, energy and abilities into someone or something. It becomes our goal and focus - we treat it like it is supreme in our lives. It's as if we crown it, treat it as our King and serve it. And when it fails to satisfy us it crushes us. Only God can give the blessing we seek and redeem us from the mess we've made - we're made to serve THE King.
