Jesus Loves Me When... I Walk Away

Many of us probably know the lyrics to the children’s song, “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so," but what about the fine print?

Aren’t there exceptions to Jesus' love? 
What if I go too far?
Cross a line I can’t come back from?
Or walk away?
Doesn’t that void Jesus' love for me? 

In this new series we will look at three specific examples when it seems that Jesus' love would have an expiration date. 

Many people have been burned by other church members or church leaders, and the pain often leaves them feeling confused, hurt and isolated. But church can also be a place of hope, comfort and reconciliation. It is never too late to start fresh with God and his people.

Forgiveness is about coming to God with the fullness of your feelings and trusting Him with them. It's an inner work between you and God. Sometimes, this inner work leads to repentance and reconciliation with others. What God desires above all, is reconciliation with you.

Everyone has experienced hurt — betrayal, abandonment, rejection, loss. You can't build your wall high enough or thick enough to avoid getting hurt. 

If we are not careful, our hurt can shape us. Sometimes we've held on to hurt so long that it becomes our identity. God wants to heal us because hurt holds us back from everything that he wants us to have in our life.
