    In part two of our 'Picnic at Hanging Rock' episode we discuss numerous theories about what happened to the missing girls and try and get to the bottom of one of Australia’s most puzzling unsolved mysteries. We will also try to answer the question – is the story fact or fiction? As well as delve into several similar disappearances in Victoria, Australia in the 19th century. Some of which bear an uncanny resemblance to the events in 'Picnic at Hanging Rock'. We decode the book's missing final chapter, it's symbolism and the hidden meaning within.     On Saint Valentines day in 1900 a group of girls from an exclusive ladies boarding school set out for a picnic at hanging rock. But what should have been an idyllic day turned into a nightmare that would have far reaching and catastrophic effects on all involved. Three young ladies and their governess would never return from the rock. Their disappearance would go down in Australian history as one of the most puzzling unsolved mysteries of the nation. But what really happened at the rock on that summer’s day in 1900? We will explore the book and author Joan Lindsay, the film, the story's hidden symbolism and the actual rock, as well as mysterious and supernatural events that surround Picnic at Hanging Rock.

    A Christmas themed episode in which we will be talking about the age old tradition of telling Ghost Stories at Christmas time and the supernatural origins of Christmas. We will explore traditional folklore and discuss some of our favourite Christmas Ghost stories and films, as well as discuss true Christmas hauntings and have a look at what was in the headlines in Australian newspapers around Christmas time more than a hundred years ago. Your hosts Suzanne & Karina will look beyond the colourful tinsel and gifts and begin to unwrap ancient Yule and midwinter traditions that are enlivened with all kinds of ghostly and magical beings. We will take a look at how Christmas was almost cancelled but was saved by ghosts….
