Is Stay At Home Motherhood Only For The Rich And Famous? | Ep 284
"If my husband was an NFL player, I could afford to stay at home too!!!"
These sentiments have been spread far and wide as of late. We modern Americans love some victim mentality!! We love the option of just blaming privilege for another person's success, rather than taking accountability for our own lives.
Are there some people who are genuinely sacrificing, working hard, and still unable to make ends meet on one income? Yes, there are.
For the majority of college-educated Americans, however, the possibility of living on one income is much more in reach than they believe who lead others to believe.
Most Americans don't budget. Most Americans spend wildly and choose not to save. Most Americans want to work less, not more. Most Americans expect a VERY high standard of living.
Living on one income, for most of us, requires serious commitment and discipline. It is not for the weak or fainthearted. I will be sharing more and more on this topic from our personal experience to hopefully help and inspire those who are ready to pursue this ideal (and feel called to do so!)

Should A Catholic Attend A Gay Wedding? And Other Controversial Wedding Scenarios | Ep 283
This happens all the time. A faithful Catholic gets invited to what they know will be an invalid wedding. Perhaps it's the wedding of a divorced family member, or a cousin getting married outside the Church, or a same-sex wedding of an old high school friend.
What is the person to do? The nice Christians will tell you to, without question, attend the wedding and celebrate with the loved one. The rigid Christians might say there is no circumstance in which you should attend. What's the right answer?
Today, we look deeply at this question and seek to find the right solution.

Stay At Home Mom: A Nice To Have Or A Need To Have? | Ep 282 | Emily Crankfield
Everyone in the Catholic world seems to have a strong opinion on the topic. Should Catholic moms give up their careers to stay home? Some say it's a resounding YES while others say that it's completely up to her personal desires or calling.
In this episode, Emily and I share our thoughts on our own journey of understanding the value of being a stay at home mom and whether we believe it's a universal call or simply a personal choice.
