Plant Medicine with Cara Monigold : Part II

Plant Medicine with Cara Monigold : Part II

Listen in to Part 2 of our talk on Plant Medicine! Immerse yourself in Cara’s vibe, her wisdom, and learn more about her offerings. Cara Monigold a wild craft forager actively working to improve her health and the health of others through plants + fungi. She's been foraging edible mushrooms since 2015 and within the past few years adding more + more medicinal plants to that list.

She has her own line of medicinal tinctures, Thieve of the Woods, using locally + sustainably harvested plants. Tools she's used to help heal herself and those around her, as she believes everyone has the power within to heal themselves, it's access to plant + mushroom based medicine that's key.

Cara has been a medical cannabis educator through the American Cannabis Nursing Association since 2014. Getting to know the endocannabinoid system and how cannabis works as a medicine, helped her learn about the healing effects of all plants.

You'll find her out in the woods year long, leading hikes + holding mushroom forays, again starting this spring under the Sporin' Around mushroom group, a loosely ruled bunch of citizen scientists out fucking around + finding out!

In this podcast Cara opens up about her experiences using plant, mushroom + pharmaceutical based medicines. How it was her most recent battle with long term covid symptoms that she ended up healing her lifelong anxiety + depression and the unconventional approach she used to do so. It's also why she feels so strongly about helping others find a connection to nature, where one can find immense healing by just showing up.

Trigger warning: there is talk of suicide within this episode as well as conversations involving the use of microdosing an unjustly illegal entheogen. We have provided more information if you would like to further educate yourself on the medicinal use of psilocybin:
