Wine of the Week - SHE
SHE joins the Cape Wine Crafters family of wine brands and, although
so subtle, she makes her presence known from the outset. SHE is a dry
rosé of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and speaks of elegance and sophistication. The rose-gold bottle-printed design of
SHE is modern and minimalist. The back text simply states, “She is worth far more.”
Tasting Notes:
On the nose there are hints of fresh rose petals, jasmine and the first touch of spring. The taste reveals strawberries, watermelon and pink lady apples. The body is elegant and the taste delicate
and deliciously dry. -

Amanda Mthembu, Sommelier from Tops @Lifestyle introduces the Wine of the Week
Wolf & Woman Grenache Rose 2021
WOLF & WOMAN Grenache Rosé is made from grapes yielded by
a single bush-vine vineyard, which grows in the Paardeberg region
in granitic soils.
All of the grapes were picked early in the morning, packed in crates
and allowed to spend 24 hours in a cold room. The following day the
grapes were pressed gently and as whole clusters to obtain the perfect
colour. The free run juice was then drained into a stainless-steel
tank to settle for 24 hours.
No enzymes were used during the settling process. The juice was
racked from the thick lees to 500 L old French oak barrels, after
which the wine fermented naturally in the barrel.
After fermentation, the wine was given a low dose of Sulphur and left
on the lees. The wine spent a total of 6 months in old barrels before
it was blended and bottled. -

Valencia and Eamonn introduce Jacques Bruere Blanc de Blancs 2012
The Jacques Bruere Blanc de Blanc MCC has hints of fresh lime and citrus, complimented by a subtle yeastiness. The palate shows great finesse on the finish with crisp, rich and creamy complexity.
Best served as an aperitif or with oysters and the ideal partner to a seafood platter. It is also great with sushi and lime-flavoured Thai dishes.
