Collecting Addicts Episode 62: Bicester Scramble, Best YouTube Videos & Driving Gloves

With Collecting Cars present at Bicester Scramble, our Addicts recount their many experiences at what they call "the best event for people like us", from a McLaren 'full house' to a Can-Am Lotus; variety was the word of the day.
Our Addicts share their favourite YouTube videos, including U2 at Live Aid, some French hillclimb POV & more!
Significant debate is triggered in this episode by the question: "what do we think of driving gloves?". With Edward Lovett providing a quasi-poetic understanding of how they may be used, and Manish Pandey being offered a pair by Bentley never to use them; opinions differ wildly.

Collecting Addicts Episode 59: Steelies Are Better Than Alloys, Sleeping in Cars, & Guenther Steiner’s Stardom

Should failure be celebrated in Formula 1? This week, Manish and the Addicts share their thoughts on Guenther Steiner’s rise to fame, despite Haas’ repeat appearances at the bottom of the Constructors’ Championship leaderboard.
They’ll also be discussing the ups and downs (mostly downs) of sleeping in cars, and covering the all-important topic of steel wheels – when are they fit for purpose, and when are they just being offered to cash in on that poverty-spec charm?

Collecting Addicts Episode 58: Sainz Wins In Oz, EV Classics & Bentley Boss Goes To Aston Martin

Massive Formua One news, Max Verstappen didn’t win a race! The big question is, has Ferrari cut the wrong driver after Sainz took home the win in the down-under Grand Prix?
In other news, British luxury and supercar manufacturers have been experiencing some major changes, but are there great things on the horizon, or is this yet another reshuffling of debt and talent within an ageing industry?

Brett Cowell ,

Insights and highlights, superb!

I’m really enjoying the industry discussion, gives me hope and inspiration for the drivers cars and drivers reviews in the future. Really inspiring me to get cracking with my writing as well! Thank you for the honesty, openness and humor. And thank you for bringing my journalistic idols to voice, not just print.

gilesgriffin ,

What happened? Did I miss this was the last episode?

Thanks for a really entertaining if just slightly nerdy-obsessive podcast: two car garage especially! Great content and banter: so what happened? Is it all over?

AFZA2192 ,

Really entertaining!

I am thoroughly enjoying these podcasts! The content is interesting and funny and the host/guests keep the listener engaged.
My only other comment is that i find the volume fluctuates quite a bit - it sounds like some of the people speaking are far away from the mic and their voices become quite soft. Turning the volume up often ends up being too loud when another guest starts talking or there is laughter. Not a show stopper but perhaps something that could be looked at unless the issue is unique to me? (did try on different devices with the same results). I look forward to more episodes!
