Ep. 50 JD Graham: First Sober Album Written in Prison While Seeking Forgiveness for the Unimaginable

"I don't make music you can dance to, I make music you can think to." Welcome JD Graham to The Mark Howley Show as we celebrate our 50th episode! Graham was sentenced to 2,192 days in prison for driving under the influence and killing a man. Charged with second degree manslaughter, he faced guilt, demons, and was given the impossible task of redeeming himself inside prison walls. It was there he found his sobriety, faced his demons, and wrote the music that freed his soul from pain. His songs tell the story of his life in raw honesty. Seven years sober, he is now touring all over the USA playing music that he hopes connects those in desperate places to a better way of life. Join us for this conversation of sobriety, music, faith and redemption. Check out our Post Podcast Concerts to hear JD's hit single, Pound of Rust and a new, never before heard song live at Blash Studios.

Ep. 46 Josh Ashby: Cannabis Attorney with over 10+ years of experience

Josh Ashby has spent over a decade in the cannabis industry as an attorney, otherwise known as a weed lawyer (and he has heard all the jokes.) In 2013 when marijuana started to hit the legal market, Ashby focused on helping cannabis businesses manage the new industry to the best of his abilities. A murky watered marijuana world was wild west like, and still is. Ashby even published a first of its kind book "Lost in the Weeds" available on Amazon. "A guide to Washington's I-502 recreational marijuana law for business owners and prospective investors--those looking for an introduction to the industry." Get to know Josh and the strange world of marijuana law.
