He beat women to death, and had them buried on an upstate property he obtained as a burial ground. Ahead of his time in crime, he preyed on young victims during the 1950's and '60's until finally imprisoned, leaving behind a progeny of 46 children, many of whom followed in his criminal footsteps - notably, DaVernon LeGrande Jr., an ultra violent psychopath who met a bloody end in a Brooklyn numbers joint.
