    EP23: "Quiet on Set" Reaction

If you were a 90's or 2000's baby, you probably watched Nickelodeon after school and on the weekends. A new docuseries, "Quiet on Set The Dark Side of Kids TV", details the horrors of abuse child actors and crewmates faced while working for one of the biggest for-children television networks. We break down the four episodes published at the time of our recording, we discuss the ways in which abuse was enabled at Nickelodeon, and we get into the theories that have since come out on the internet. Upon the release of this episode, a fifth episode of the docuseries has been published. We encourage you to check out Episode 5 of "Quiet on Set" and join us back here soon for our next episode reaction!

EP22: Girl Fears! Do the stats match?

EP22: Girl Fears! Do the stats match?

If you are a girl, you might have grown up with learned fears that simply exist because you are a girl. If that sentence didn't make any sense, we will give you an example. Often, girls are afraid to do something at night or go somewhere alone. That is what we mean when we say "girl fear". The survey results are in, and we are breaking down some girl fears!!! We talk about our own experiences and learn a few new fears! More importantly, we are breaking down what the available stats are behind these fears to see if they match up! We close this episode with a conversation about sleepovers and the controversy that surrounds them. Listen in and tell us what fears we missed and what your take is on sleepovers!

EP21: Conscious Consumerism: Movies & Television

On today's episode we are talking all things movies and television! Why do this? We may not realize it (or maybe we do), but a lot of the content we are streaming and watching has the tendencies to promote toxic relationships, bad behavior, and has some overall damaging messaging for all of us. We talk about some popular movies and television shows from the past and present and discuss the ways in which this content in particular can have harmful impacts on us and our relationships with one another. Tune in to hear our hot takes and connect with us on Instagram to tell us what shows or movies we missed, or if you think we are straight up wrong when we talk about these issues!!
