818 & Conversate - The Podcast: Episode 11. Chaos, Coordination & Chemistry w/ Janeille Patrice of JP&Co Events 818 & Conversate - The Podcast

    • Relationships

In this very special birthday-edition episode dropping on Nadine's birthday, host (driver) Nadine of 818 Events sits down with Janeille Patrice of JP & Co Events to focus on the art of event planning.
Janeille is a fellow event coordinator that specializes particularly in Event Design, and making things magical. And for those that don't already know, Nadine is an event and wedding coordinator and founder of 818 Events. Janeille and Nadine go way back. What started out as an interest in planning music and entertainment events many years ago, has turned into a side hustle and shared passion for curating a client's most memorable experience for both ladies.
Nadine wanted to share this birthday episode with a fellow event planner since her whole brand is based on her birthday, August 18th, hence the 818, and she wanted to do a deep dive into the world of events and wedding coordination. As a result, this episode is called 'Chaos, Coordination & Chemistry', and it focuses on the behind the scenes of the wedding and event industry - everything from the chaotic client drama, mishaps and sore feet, and trusting the process, to tips and tricks for event planning, why you MUST hire a planner, and how meeting new clients is like an awkward first date.
While you'd think an episode hosted by two professionals that practice making moments as close to perfect as possible would be flawless, it's actually the first episode with a compilation of technical difficulties - Janeille got a little carried away with her laughter and choked on her wine, (note to self, don't drink wine and laugh), the audio didn't quite record as planned and for the first time, the episode had to be edited with a cut. However, it's an episode for the books. Some serious tea was spilled on this episode. A whole lot of honesty and transparency. Nadine and Janeille share all the dos and donts of event and wedding planning, so be sure to take notes.
While they sip on white wine, celebrate their successes and toast to Nadine's birthday, they give each other their flowers, share lots of laughter and even some sass.
This episode is for anyone who plans events; is an entrepreneur; is getting married; used an event planner (especially us) and highly recommends it; or someone who just wants to laugh.
Listen to them unpack all the chaos behind coordinating events, and what it means to have chemistry with your event planner.
