Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the Talking Season being in full swing and part of that is talking about Underrated players on the Ole Miss Rebels and Lane Kiffin roster and at some times people get a little too cute.  We talk about the Grove Report and their three underrated players of Cayden Lee, Akelo Stone and Kam Franklin and while it might be true that they are underrated the positions they play is crowded and so I will give you the simple answer of underrated and that is Jordan Watkins.  The Louisville Cardinals transfer was Mr Reliable for Jaxson Dart a year ago and he is higher on the depth chart than Lee.



In the second segment of the show we talk Jordan Watkins being part of a Wide Receiver room that has Tre Harris, Deion Smith, Juice Wells as headliners allowing him to get lost.  We talked earlier in the Week about Lindy's listing the Ole Miss Rebels as the #2 Wide Receiver Unit behind the Ohio State Buckeyes we now Ole Miss Wide Receivers are ranked #2 on Pro Football Focus behind the Oregon Ducks.



In our final segment of the day we change gears a bit and talk about the Official Visits of Carson Lawrence from Chattanooga, TN and Winston Watkins Jr from Ft Myers, Fl and you get to know these players a little bit for Ole Miss Rebels Recruiting.

Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the Ole Miss Rebels building their own box and doing College Football in 2024 their way as Lane Kiffin says.  We look at the Impact SEC transfers by SEC Stat cat and Four of the Top 12 are from the Ole Miss Rebels.  We talk about constructing a roster in this environment and talk about Walter Nolen a transfer from Texas A&M Aggies, Princely Umanmielen from the Florida Gators and Juice Wells from the South Carolina Gamecocks.  We look at how this strategy if it pays off will provide a road map to non traditional powers to take over the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers.

In our final segment of the day we change gears a bit and talk about the recent Rebel Road Trip stop in Memphis that featured two main news items and they are Baseball Expansion and All Expansion will be going on hold for the foreseeable future like we have been saying it would and Chris Beard and Ole Miss Basketball will be going back to the Tad Pad.

Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the Ole Miss Rebels getting an impromptu visit from Caleb Cunningham right after he visited the Auburn Tigers and Lane Kiffin and Charlie Weis will tell you this too but Caleb Cunningham is a generational Wide Receiver that Ole Miss must land.  Ole Miss is in a similar position that the Clemson Tigers found themselves in before their first national title.Deshawn Watson and crew won the first title but it was the next generation of Travis Etienne and Trevor Lawrence that really changed that university.  Players like Caleb Cunningham with who they already have is the key to the next step.



In the second segment of the show we talk about this weekends official visitors and how impressive they are including a Five Star in a certain service and the OL MVP of the UA Combine in Atlanta making this one of the more impressive visit weekends in a while.  If Ole Miss can land two of these five players it will be a step in the right direction.



In our final segment of the day we change gears a bit and talk about the recent release of the FPI from ESPN and why this is mana from heaven for Lane Kiffin.  Remember when the Georgia Bulldogs won it all two years ago and a player actually said that all of you thought we would win seven games and everyone rolled their eyes…Well that can be a legitimate bulletin board material item that Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin can use.
