One of the foundational views of The Days of Noah podcast, and a Rosetta Stone to understanding the Bible, we talk on this episode why it's so important to correctly understand just who are the Sons of God in Genesis 6, what they did to corrupt humanity, and the implications for defending Biblical truth and why God had to do what he did (the Flood, the "devoted to destruction" against Nephilim tribes like the Canaanites).
You simply will not understand the Bible correctly without getting this part right. We are truly in perhaps the first post-Christian/post-Biblical generation, and it largely has to do with not holding on to a literal view of the Bible, and most importantly, a literal interpretation of its foundation, the book of Genesis.
