We are a network of brave parents who empower & equip others to intentionally develop & train children to have strong character & integrity. We believe brave parenting is doing the right thing even when it is hard. While it seems our children would rather be raised by the internet, the truth is they need strong and courageous parents who will invest in their character.

Ep. 157: Surgeon General Warning for Social Media Harms
In this episode, Kelly talks about the U.S. Surgeon General's opinion piece in the New York Times, calling for government warning labels for social media. Dr. Vivek Murthy points to the need for adolescents and parents to understand the risk, but this should be a warning label for all of society! Kelly expounds on 2 Cor. 6:14-17 as a call for Christians of all ages to reconsider their partnership with social media and their witness to the watching world.

Ep. 156: Internet to the Ends of the Earth
This week, we are discussing the recent New York Times article "The Internet's Final Frontier: Remote Amazon Tribes." After the internet was introduced to the Indigenous people in September, the members of the tribe had to grapple with the same ills American parents have been plagued with for fifteen years. Their story provides an object lesson for Christian parents on the importance of delaying access to the internet/smartphones/social media/games for the purpose of discipleship.

Ep. 155: Pride in Children’s Media
In this week's episode, Kelly interviews Kenzie Cates, a recent high school graduate who completed a senior research thesis on lgbtq content in children's media and entertainment. How much content is out there in children's media? Is it blatant or is it so subtle it would be overlooked by children? What is the motivation for promoting lgbtq to children? And, of course, why does it matter for Christian parents, and what can they do?

In today's episode, Kelly unpacks her most recent conclusions about Snapchat. For years, she has maintained that Snapchat was the worst social media platform for teens. Is Snapchat still the worst - or has it been dethroned?

Ep. 152: Move Slow & Protect Things
A decade ago Facebook's internal motto was "Move Fast and Break Things." The broken pieces are all around us and Big Tech and now AI has not learned.
In today's podcast Kelly & Chelsea talk through some recent AI and Big Tech headlines through the biblical worldview. It is clear to see that "Move Fast and Break Things" is still the general mantra. Brave Parenting recommends the alternative: Move Slow and Protect Things (such as childhood, human creativity, sacredness, marriage, etc.).
