The Longest Memory by Fred D'Augiar

The Longest Memory by Fred D'Augiar

This is Year 10 Literature novel we were asked to read, review and think about.

The longest memory written by Fred D’Aguiar is a story that reflects past history and past memories of slaves. The language is simple but effective and understandable. Simplistic words are used within “The Longest Memory”, which adds so much to the way the characters think and feel. Each chapter is a different narrator of the story, a different character speaking and this shows the contrast between the characters thinking process.
