Interview with Bryan Denison (aka Cajun_Cardboard) on Making Friends in the Hobby and How He Completed the 1986 Fleer Basketball PSA 10 Set; Is Panini and Reebok Shoe Collaboration a Cheap Gimmick‪?‬ Cards To The Moon

    • Hobbies

EPISODE 86 - Clark, Hyung, and John talk about the recent announcement of the Panini America and Reebok collaboration featuring three “Prizm” parallel iterations of “A.I.”’s historic Question basketball shoe. They debate whether it's a cheap gimmick or a cool collaboration between a card company and a more traditional retailer.

Then for this episode, the guys interview Bryan Denison (aka Cajun Cardboard on YouTube) who is able to juggle being a real estate attorney as well as a father of seven kids while creating consistent hobby content for his YouTube and Instagram channels (and why he decided to become a content creator instead of just a sports card collector/investor). He also shares how he was able to complete the iconic 1986 Fleer Basketball set (all graded PSA 10) and how much he initially turned down from a potential buyer.

They end the episode with "Pick One" where they name two cards or sets, and then debate which one they would rather invest in. The pairs chosen this week include: Fernando Tatis Jr. 2016 Bowman Chrome Refractor Autograph (BGS 9.5/10) vs. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 2016 Bowman Chrome Refractor Autograph (BGS 9.5/10); PSA 10 vs PSA 9 with IP autograph; and Cade Cunningham National Treasures /99 RPA (PSA 8) vs. three Cade Cunningham Blue Prizm Rookie Cards /199 (PSA 10).
