To All The Men I’ve Tolerated Before is your weekly look at everyday misogyny! Host Natalie Katona invites guests on the podcast to chat about their experiences living in a Patriarchal society. The podcast delves into different male tropes the world has had to endure like the sports guy, the toxic boss, or the needy boyfriend. It also allows the guests to delve into how men have affected their comfort levels in the communities they take up space in like the horror genre, professional wrestling, or the military. After the honest, comedic venting, the guest and Natalie will offer up their biggest growth moment from having to tolerate the events they’ve discussed and offer everyone up some great manifestations. Let’s work on a better, inclusive, and safer future for everyone with some radical honesty and less tolerating!

    Young Adult Literature

    Young Adult Literature

How did we fall for men who don’t like us? How often did I wake up and realize I was in a love triangle? Natalie is joined by the hosts of the podcast To All the YA I’ve Loved Before for this week’s episode! Kaycee and Ashley explore the young adult literature millenials consumed such as Sweet Valley High, Gossip Girl, Dear America, and other young adult literature that was aimed specifically at young girls. Natalie and her two guests will have some fun reminiscing about their favorite teen book series while also deep diving on the weird messages those books gave them as young pre-teen girls. There will also be some recommendations of some YA Lit you can check out to see how the genre has evolved to be more inclusive and less misogynistic.

    Representing Sapphic Romance in Media

    Representing Sapphic Romance in Media

Natalie is joined by actor, screenwriter, and poet Noelle Cope to discuss sapphic romantic relationships and how they are represented (or underrepresented) in the media we consume. Movies of discussion include Happiest Season, But I’m a Cheerleader, Drive by Dolls, and there’s even tossed  in some reality tv discussion for extra spice. Other topics include imposter syndrome amongst queer women, who should be telling queer stories, and how our relationship expectations change the more we are introduced to varying relationships through film.

Patreon Teaser May 2024: Misogynistic Foolery

Patreon Teaser May 2024: Misogynistic Foolery

    Hey Team Tolerator!
It is the last Thursday of the month and that means it is Patreon trailer time! This week you are getting a sneak peek of April's Misogyny Meltdown titles Misogynistic Foolery.

Here are some things we did for this episode:
    1) I report on some foolish ways women ended up in the news.
    2) I give you some insight on how I celebrated the solar eclipse.
    3) Annie Sieg and I help build you an anti-gaslight kit. And yes, we manage to bring up both Taylor Swift and reality tv!

Remember, The Misogyny Meltdown is a comedy show that combines my feminine rage with things you would see on a late night tv show like monologues, sketches, and interviews! It is best seen in its video form and you can see a video trailer for this episode here.

Make sure you have subscribed to us on Patreon! Every tier has a 7-day free trial and it is the only place to find our free blog posts, Tolerator Check-In episodes, and The Misogyny Meltdown. May's bonus content will be all about mothers. Well and Taylor Swift. Because she is motheeerrrr.

    Thicc B* Punk Rock

    Thicc B* Punk Rock

Natalie is joined by Genevieve and Beatrice (Soul Meets Body) to talk about how their band Soul Meets Body and the music they are creating fights against gender norms, stigmas against mental health, and having negative thoughts about your own body. Topics of discussion will include how beauty standards hold us back from trying new things, the stupid ways we try to gender the process of making music and art, how illogical it is to spread hate instead of hype, and the cost misogyny has on audiences who love music. There will also be personal stories about how misogyny has affected the artistry of Natalie, Genevieve, and Beatrice. There’s nothing that screams punk rock like writing songs where you tell the Patriarchy it can f*** off.

Make sure you have subscribed to us on Patreon! (currently running a free trial on all tiers) It is the only place where you can find our new variety series, The Misogyny Meltdown! There will be comedy, creativity, and a lot of melting down in each episode.

    The 7 Deady Sins

    The 7 Deady Sins

Pride. Greed. Lust. Envy. Gluttony. Wrath. Sloth. Are these sins deadly or are they the very things misogyny tries to keep women and other marginalized voices from so they never come into their own power? Karen from the podcast Deconversion Therapy is here to help us answer that very question. Natalie and Karen will discuss really ridiculous ways misogyny tries to make us feel guilty for enjoying ourselves or just wanting better for ourselves. Why did they ever tell us sticking up for ourselves and using our voice was a sin? Hmmm I wonder.

    Raising a Son

    Raising a Son

Team Tolerator is celebrating Mother’s Day with two episodes about parenting. Julia Washington joins us to speak on what it is like to raise a son in a world where misogyny is very present and you’re trying to not have one more misogynist on your hands. Topics will include allowing sons space to talk freely about emotions, fathers’ roles in a misogynistic mindset, the hurtful stereotypes that sons have in our society, and how we can do everything to set them up to have an anti-misogynistic mindset but the world is still the world we live in.
