Robert Kimmel, MD

Dr. Kimmel is the Chief of Community Care Service, leading the implementation of the Mission Act. He was formerly the Chief of Ambulatory Care Service. He is a primary care physician and continues to have a panel of Veterans he cares for in primary care.

He is a super nice guy who is able to translate complicated Mission Act law requirements into plain language for the providers and patients of the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System. He is steadfastly working on internal processes with all of the changes to ensure the transition is smooth for our fellow Veterans. He is practical and very Veteran-focused. Even though he transitioned into management some years ago, he has continued to keep his schedule seeing patients as a provider.

Joining us on the phone for news, Chris Buccleuch "Bullethead".

John Milton Peterson will be calling in to discuss vetted media outlet listings of the top 50, a study of 15 or so social media outlets and ideas and published work on how to be safer and avoid targeting online.

We also have an official representative of the US Coast Guard calling in to discuss the Texas police chief/retired Army paratrooper, Chris Reed, who went missing and eventually was found after being thrown overboard his fishing vessel when it was hit by the wake of a passing vessel in Galveston Bay. The Coast Guard searched more than 650 square miles over the course of 40+ hours.
