With the new star wars film coming out Disney has began to work on bringing some new star wars theme attractions to the park. In a recent speech Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger stated,that the classic Star Wars trilogy was well represented in the theme parks by Star Tours and that any new attractions would be based on future films, such as Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Now unfortunately that’s all he stated ending that nothing would be official until later this year. I’d like to know what you would like to see at the parks? More rides, restaurants, shows? In some other news today Disney Infinity will be releasing a collectors edition of Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy exclusively through GameStop. The collectors edition, which can be preordered from the GameStop website, will come in a special case but that really seems to be the only difference. If you compare the figures side by side you'll see there's no visual difference besides the actual case. The collector edition of Rocket Raccon will cost 19.99 in U.S. Dollars and will be released on February 14, 2015.

This Tuesday on January 6, we’ll be introduced to the newest addition to the Marvel world on ABC. Inspired by Captain America: The First Avenger, Marvel’s Agen Carter will be a television series set in the world of the 1940’s. And although Peggy Carter may not have any “powers” she is still a force to be reckoned with. She’s given the assignment to track down some bad-guys threatening the world with some weapons they stole from inventor Howard Stark. Disney Insider has a great interview on their website. In some other news today that also regards ABC. Galavant will be premiering this Sunday, January 4th at 7pm central time. Galavant which is following the tradition of famous films such as Monty Python and the Holy Grail and the Princess Bride, promises to give a fresh take on the stories we’re familiar with. The series will feature all new music by 8 time Oscar winner Alan Menken, who has teamed up with Broadway alum Glenn Slater. Disney Insider has some behind the scenes photos from the set.

Well Downtown Disney will be no more. At least the name Downtown disney. The Orlando Sentinel has reported some major changes are headed to the now called Disney Springs. Disney Springs will feature a slew of new shopping, dining and entertainment shops for visitors. The new Disney Springs is planned for completion in 2016 and will have the feel of a early 1900s Florida. It will feature four distinct areas - Town Center, The Landing Marketplace, and West Side. The article goes over the vast changes that they’ll be doing so be sure and check it out.

In some other news today Disney will be releasing a new original film called, Descendants. The original film will focus on the kids of four iconic villains - Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella de Vil. The film will star Kristin Chenoweth as Maleficent and Dove Cameron as her daughter Mal. Descendants will be directed by Kenny Ortega who also directed High School Musical and will premiere sometime in 2015.

This past Thursday Disney Pixar release a brand new preview for the new film Inside Out. The new trailer focuses even more on Joy, played by Amy Poehler, Fear, played by Bill Hader, Anger, Played by Lewis Black, Disgus, played Mindy Kaling, and Sadness, played by Phyllis Smith. The new film will come out on July 15 of 2015.

In some other news today Walt Disney’s birthday was celebrated this past friday on December 5. Walt Disney was born December 5 of 1901and has become one of the most important figures in our nation today. Disney Parks Blog shared a rare video of Walt and his brother Roy Disney of a press conference held in Florida of the announcement that Disney World would be building in Florida. It’s a really nice piece of history so be sure and check that out video out.

I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday I apologize that I did not have the news up. I underestimated the power of the turkey greatly. On Thursday Thanksgiving day Disney surprised us all with the release of the new Star Wars Teaser trailer,The Force Awakens. While the teaser offers little the minute and a half trailer will get your blood flowing. I have to admit I was cautious not to get to excited but after watching it one time, I repeated it pretty much all day. I am excited for this movie but I’d like to know what you think. Comment below do you think this will surpass the expectations of star wars fans or as a fan do you feel that this movie shouldn’t even be made? Let me know comment below.


In other news today Disney has officially released the date for their new Frozen short film, Frozen Fever. The film is set to debut prior to the live action film Cinderella. Disney also released a brief summary regarding the new short. “It’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.” You can watch Frozen Fever and Cinderella when they are released on March 13 of 2015

And finally with the release of the Toy Story Holiday Special "That Time Forgot”, you’ll be able to get your hands on some special Toy Story Toys. Thinkway Toys will be releasing a Buzz and Woody action figure matching the size and color specified by Pixar. These two toys are the first to be released but not the last. Mattel will also be releasing a Buzz, Woody, Trixie, and many of the Battlesaurs from the Pixar special. For now you can find these Buzz and Woody toys at ToysRUs or Ebay. I’ll have a link to a detailed unboxing and review video down below.

This past Tuesday Disney released their newest trailer for the live-action film of Cinderella. The film will stay true to the animated version for the most part except in some minor details. The new Cinderella film is directed by Kenneth Branagh and will star Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett, and Lily James as Cinderella. You can watch Cinderella on when it releases on March 13 of 2015. I’d like to know how you feel about all of these remakes. With Maleficent being a slight different version of sleeping beauty and now Cinderella becoming a live action film. Do you think Disney should keep this up? Or do you feel they should let animation stay animation and live action stay live action. Comment below I’d like to know what you think.


In other news today Mickey Mouse had his 86 birthday this past Monday . As part of his birthday celebration disney released a new short called “Mickey Monkey”. The animated short puts Mickey back on a boat along with some of his friends that you’ll be sure to recognize. The short commemorates the original film called “Steamboat Willie” that was released on November 18,1928.
