After 4 days of non stop severe weather in the nation's midsection we are seeing a bit of a break today with only isolated severe thunderstormsi in parts of the Gulf States. Warm and mostly dry weather cover the Eastern US from Maine to Florida with little in the way of rain. Backdoor cold fronts and other weather fronts will be the story for the week ahead. Severe weather comes back to the Plains and Mississippi Valley Tuesday and Wednesday.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Podcast LIVE 7:35PM 4/25/2024. Widespread severe weather, elevated tornado risk, & heavy rain will begin across the nations midsection and it will continue through Sunday. There is elevated tornado risk and the risk for EF2-EF5 tornadoes in areas of enhanced risk. Dry conditions cover much of the Eastern US and that should last into early next week. Only some minor issues with showers Saturday night as warmer air moves up the Eastern Seaboard. By Monday of next week highs will be in the 80s in many locations.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Podcast LIVE 7:35PM 4/17/2024. Severe weather and elevated tornado risk covers the Ohio Valley to the Deep South with elevated tornado risk. Weakening low pressure over the Great Lakes will redevelop off the coast of Delaware Thursday creating a raw damp set up for the Northern Mid Atlantic to Southern New England Thursday. Weather systems are moving along and while there could be some showers around late Friday, the weekend in the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic looks to be nice but cool. Severe weather risks Thursday will shift west and south to parts of the Western Ohio & Middle Mississippi Valley southwest into East Texas.

Another round of widespread severe weather with elevated tornado risk is underway in the Upper Mississippi Valley with risk as far south as Arkansas. In the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic we will go into a gloom and doom pattern with some rain and raw conditions Wednesday night and Thursday. Weather conditions will improve for the weekend.
