Ep. 038- (Strength Coach Series) Spencer Arnold-Hebron Christian S&C

In the first episode of 2022, we are fortunate enough to speak with Spencer Arnold of Hebron Christian in Dacula, Ga. Spencer is the S&C coach who is doing some amazing work through VBT or Velocity Based Training using the Perch System which I was fortunate enough to see in person. It is an awesome program and he even incorporates it with Human A&P and AP Statistics classes with the data they use and teaching the human body. Spencer is also the owner/operator of Power and Grace Performance which is a gym in Snellville, and he coaches 3 OLYMPIANS who all competed this past summer in Tokyo, and one of them placed for a silver medal. Please give this one a listen, subscribe, and share with a friend!

Ep 34-High and Tight Football with Tom Crueger

Ep 34-High and Tight Football with Tom Crueger

Tom Creguer (Cray-jur) currently serves as a RB Coach at Northwood University, a D2 University in MI that competes in one of the strongest D2 Conferences in the Nation.  Coach is also the Inventor/Founder of HIGHandTIGHT, a #smartfootball for teaching and training utilized by over 12 NFL programs, 70+ NCAA programs, 300+ HS across the Nation and some of the best Youth programs as being a BlastAthletics.com Rep helping programs from top to bottom.

A teacher by profession, a coach by calling, Coach Creguer has been training athletes to over-achieve for 25 plus years.  As a self-proclaimed "fundamentalist" and "competition addict" coaching future leaders of our great country has always been about Making A Difference in the lives of those we touch on a daily basis.

Coach has served as the D2 Chairman of Assistant Coaches Committee for the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).  Coach Creguer has spoken numerous times at the AFCA National Convention on various topics ranging from RB fundamentals to non-traditional speed development implementation on the skills and drills stage.  He has also spoken at the Michigan HS Football Coaches Association State Clinic (MHSFCA) on topics such as Special Teams coordination and effectiveness to WR drills and schemes to gain an advantage.  As well as presenting to the State's Youth Coaches on behalf of MHSFCA Summer Traveling Series about teaching fundamentals that pay dividends long term for the sport.

Coach Creguer has had numerous articles printed in the American Football Coaches magazine on recruiting coordinators implementation of technology. His work has also found its way on ESPN.com, the New York Times, the Washington Post, countless other news portals across the Nation as part of helping the NFL coaches with Ball Security.  CBS Sports has done a video series on his technology integration uses within the sport.  Michelle Tafoya even utilized his work on Sunday Night Football as part of a piece about the game.

As a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps Coach Creguer constantly strives to add value to everyday life and our great game of Football.  He is driven by his faith in his Savior and fueled daily by his wife and wonderful boys.  It is their love that drives him to capitalize on each moment of breath that he is not with them.

The invention derived out of a season of potential that turned tumultuous when Creguer left college football to head up a local HS football team and had the team posed for a great season until a fumble in the fourth quarter of 7 out of 8 football games left them with a 1-8 season and searching for answers.  As a growth mindset and problem solving person the journey led to the creation of the HIGHandTIGHT teaching football you see today.

Ep 033-Launchpad KO Tee with Bill Shafer

Ep 033-Launchpad KO Tee with Bill Shafer

Graduating at 105 lbs. as a wrestler, Bill Shafer did not play high school football. But he loved to kick a football!

After the Navy, he played one year of college football at the University of Akron but had to cut his career short, due to employment with the Akron Fire Department. This began, a fun period of semi-pro play and a variety of combines from California to Virginia and even at Canton, Ohio where at 46 years old, he was drafted by the Erie Freeze (Arena 2) but was cut when he was found to be 10 years older than the head coach!

As a coach, Shafer worked with the storied Massillon Tigers, home of Paul Brown. It was during this time, that he and his partner  David Abdul, developed the Launch Pad Kick Off Tee. This tee was used in the combine that got Shafer drafted at age 46!

Shafer has enjoyed coaching players in the youth flag leagues and with Massillon and on his own locally, with kickers trying to get to the next level, with notable success.

Now, Shafer, as the Senior Partner with Launch Pad Products has been touring the nation with a growing number of kicking camps, demonstrating the tee's superior capabilities. At 60, Shafer, using the Launch Pad Kick Off tee, is still capable of 60 yard kick offs and 4 seconds of hang time. Still trying to make gains.

To contact Bill Shafer or Launch Pad Kick Off Tee, find them on Twitter at launchpadkickt, Instagram and Facebook at launchpadkickofftee and also of Youtube Launch Pad Kick Off and at www.launchpadkickofftee.com.
