Johnson shocked the NBA world earlier this month when he abruptly resigned from his position with the franchise he starred for as a player.
“Thank you to Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, General Manager Rob Pelinka, Coach Luke Walton, the Lakers players & the entire basketball operations staff for the tremendous opportunity to serve as the President of Basketball Operations for the Lakers. I will always be a Laker for life,” he tweeted following his decision.
Johnson cited several reasons for his decision, but it mostly seemed like he had simply grown tired of the job.

Should you be more cautious when it comes to speaking to your teammates? ....
Steelers General Manager Kevin Colbert revisited his comments from earlier this week about trading wide receiver Antonio Brown during a Friday appearance on NFL Network and he also circled back to what he said about quarterback Ben Roethlisberger criticizing others in the organization. Colbert said, among other things, that Roethlisberger has “52 kids under him” and that “if our players were smart, they’d listen to him” when he calls them out. On Friday, Colbert said that his point was that there was “tremendous value” in what Roethlisberger has to say and not to belittle others on the roster.

It doesn’t really matter whether or not you or I think LeBron James is the GOAT. James himself waxes and wanes from the conversation—at times freely discussing like he did at the Nike camp or in his documentary, other times preferring more attention be paid to his off-court pursuits.

What is going on with this Jussie Smollett case?

“Mr. Smollett is a young man of impeccable character and integrity who fiercely and solemnly maintains his innocence and feels betrayed by a system that apparently wants to skip due process and proceed directly to sentencing,” the statement read.

The two brothers who allegedly helped "Empire" star Jussie Smollett stage a fake homophobic and racist street assault in Chicago say they have "tremendous regret" about it and know the impact it will have on true victims of hate crimes.
