I've been playing piano for quite a while.

I started around first grade. At first, I really didn't like practicing, but luckily my parents are smarter than me (yes I said it…don't use it against me, mom) and made me continue playing and I'm overjoyed that they did. There's nothing greater than taking feelings that have built up and releasing them through music. It's the ultimate catharsis, almost like a therapy session. And it's free! (minus cost of paper, pens, and said piano). What could be better? (minus also having a pet penguin). All of my songs are about my life, which can at times be a lot to put out there for anyone and everyone to hear, especially those they're written about. But that's what makes them (hopefully) relatable.

She released the 2006 album Opheliac with the German label Trisol Music Group. In 2007, she released Laced/Unlaced; the re-release of On a Day... appeared as Laced with songs on the electric violin as Unlaced. She later left Trisol to join New York-based The End Records in 2009 and release Opheliac in the United States, where previously it had only been available as an import. Currently she is working on an album entitled Fight Like A Girl.
Autumn draws influence for her music—the style of which she has alternatively labeled as "Victoriandustrial" and glam rock—from plays, novels, and history, particularly the Victorian era, with her musical inspiration being the English violinist Nigel Kennedy. Her live performances, which she calls dinner theatre because of her practice of throwing tea and tea-time snacks offstage, make use of burlesque to counterbalance the morbid topics; Autumn incorporates theatrics with an all-female backing band called The Bloody Crumpets. Outspoken about bipolar disorder and her experience in a modern-day mental institution, she has written an autobiographical novel, 2010's The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls.

So Ken and I were the beginning Break My Fall. Soon, the key club trip to Camp Sunshine rolled around and Eric and I began talking seriously about music and he auditioned. He blew our minds and we moved our equipment to his house when Mike called us out of the blue. I had originally requested him for the band but he was at the time in another group. They broke up and he was free as a bird, so he wondered if he could still audition, he did and he blew us away. We rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed and played our first gig on a boat for my mothers birthday. We wrote some originals and got the amazing chance to play the main stage of the Worcester Palladium in a battle of the bands. We recorded a live demo and decided we really needed something to complete our sound. We started scouting for a lead vocalist and a mutual friend Ryse auditioned, we had seen her once or twice and were friends of her solo acoustic act. In a crowded house of friends, Ryse grabbed a mic and jammed with us, she got the job and we got our sound. So here we are, and we're here to stay, we're Break My Fall

Almanac Mountain, beyond being an obscure peak in Penobscot County, Maine just shy of 1000 feet, also moonlights as a one man/one computer psych-folk / folktronica outfit from Rockingham County, New Hampshire. The outcast of a classical music and musical theatre upbringing, and the love child of his high school's epic electronic music room, Almanac Mountain (aka musician/producer Christopher Cote) found shelter and TLC in the sympathetic tones of pop artisans like Badly Drawn Boy, Magnetic Fields, The Divine Comedy, Inara George, Laura Veirs, Midlake, of Montreal, and numerous 60s psychedelic acts. These influences, combined with reverential nods to his concert hall past and the Arp blips and Korg bleeps emanating with generous tape echo from that distant school room, all contribute to the sundry sound of Almanac Mountain.

The Alternate Routes are a rock band out of Bridgeport, Connecticut formed by Tim Warren and Eric Donnelly in 2002 while studying at Fairfield University.[1] The band recorded their debut album entitled Good and Reckless and True in Nashville in 2005.
The next two years were spent touring, and honing their live sound.
In 2006, the band won an Independent Music Award for the song "Ordinary."[2] Later that year, the band signed with Vanguard Records on Thanksgiving morning, 30 years to the day after The Last Waltz was filmed, a documentary about The Band that the Routes often cite as being very influential to them.
The Alternate Routes also parted ways with Vanguard Records in 2010 and shortly after Tim and Eric headed back to Nashville to begin work on their 3 studio album which they plan to release independently. The album was produced by Teddy Morgan at the Barrio East in Nashville over the course of 6 weeks. The album is called "Lately" and is set to be released on Oct 12th, 2010. The band is planning a headlining tour to support "Lately."
