Mental health + self care: Part two

Mental health + self care: Part two

So we decided to do a part 2 for mental health because there's just so much to talk about. In a goofy, but serious episode we go more into depth about how overwhelmingness can take a toll on our mental health, sometimes hitting you like a trainwreck. Mental health is seeped into so many things, but in the midst of our over consuming feelings of nothingness, despair, and frustration, there is hope. Hope that we have someone who can empathize with us, and wants nothing more than for us to be healed of our pain and suffering: that is hope in Christ.

    Mental Health

So mental health is something that a lot of us deal with but is often repressed. It’s become the new norm to disregard and dismiss others as well as our own mental state due to social stigmas and traditional beliefs passed on generation to generation. The Gomez trio take on the idea that it is okay to not to be okay and break social norms when it comes to gender roles, expression of emotion, and overall portrayal of what mental health really is. With the use of their own experiences and their relationship with God, they turn the conversation over to how God wants us to respond to life’s struggles such as these.
