“Bare Forests” is taken from Psalm 29:9 "The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth and strips the forests bare, and in his temple all cry, “Glory!” This podcast (formerly #BeMakeXSend) brings God’s Word into the marketplace, used to strip the forests of our idols and worldviews bare in pursuit of the truth and hope found in Jesus.
My name is Matthew Perry and I serve as Pastor of Arapahoe Road Baptist Church in Centennial, CO as well as Affiliate Faculty at Colorado Christian University.

Episode 2: Where Evangelicals are Misunderstood and Misinformed
I had a conversation with a member of our church who was most distressed with a verse from 1 John 3:8-9. She read it from the King James Version of the Bible, which (on the surface) reads differently from more modern translations.
While this difference is easily explained, it leads to further conversations about how we as evangelicals often misunderstand and even misinform about the nature of the Christian life.
