Flip is the epitome of "Breaking the Mould".

After suffering from severe PTSD from being undercover as a US Army investigator, he has gone on a journey of recovery and discovery where he accidentally became a doctor, and is now, along with his wife, is an advocate for the homeless in one of the poorest and most dangerous areas in the United States, on the California/Mexico border.
