Comedians Chris Ryan and Sarah Gaul sift through articles, letters to the editor, recipes and ads from ancient womens' magazines to compare the modern women with her predecessors and see what's changed, if anything. All in the vibe of two funny women who wear the pants (metaphorically; Sarah refuses to physically wear pants).

In this episode Chris has officially moved house and it went…weirdly well. Chris shares an article from the 20’s about responses to feminism (and a long winded article from a dude who, if he was around today, would have a one-man podcast), and Sarah shares an article about women’s involvement in farming, the lack of recognition and a brief history of sexism in agriculture (its not as dry as it sounds).
Chris’s article is from The Triad : a journal devoted to literacy, pictorial, musical and dramatic art
    Vol 9 No 10. (11 August 1924) - Equal Pay.
    Sarah’s article is from Sunday Times (Sydney, NSW : 1895 - 1930), Sunday 21 July 1907, page 9 - Farms for Women.

Chris reads an ad for a radio and they reminisce about only being able to listen to songs when they came on the radio. Sarah brings a piece about a woman who cut her finger off to survive a brown snake bite, and they talk survival instincts and Chris shares an incredible survival story from Peru.
Chris’s article is from The Penny Saturday Journal 4 April 1846 - A SHORT ADVICE TO MOTHERS, ON THE MANAGEMENT OF CHILDREN BY MARTIN BRAMBLE.
    Chris’s ad is from West Wyalong Advocate (NSW : 1928 - 1954), Friday 31 August 1928, page 10.
