Listened to this episode and found it fairly offensive. I understand the main focus was that yes, networking is often easier in the office and I don’t even fully disagree - I meet a much wider variety of people when I show up. And yes, more networking does help with progression. Still, I found it deeply ignorant of some of the realities of why people need to WFH. I’ll never be able not to, especially once we have a child, because my husband already works outside of the home & otherwise my free time becomes chore time. Cute? No. Again, I understand the facts but it felt out of touch and I therefore have no choice to assume that the one mother in the group in particular must be far better off financially than me otherwise she’d surely not want to be caught dead speaking so narrowly. Must be nice.
I’ve always loved this pod and frequently forget the specifics that irritate me, otherwise I’d have complained ages ago. Too bad the girls don’t actually read these - which again I find problematic and self-absorbed. Feedback matters.
