I have HUGE respect for the Shameless team for speaking clearly about what has happened regarding Macklemore / Ed Sheeran and free Palestine, while also directly acknowledging the genocide happening in Gaza. At a time when so many others in the podcast space avoid the topic let alone using the word (and calling it what it is), I really appreciated the factual, clear and principled way it was referenced. Thank you endlessly

You guys are so so intelligent and have taught me a lot. I admire how deeply you think about everything and how you are able to unpack it with so much nuance. I get excited each time a new ep comes out! I know you are going to hate this take, but neither of you are very funny and you make very nerdy jokes which makes me cringe. I would really appreciate if you stopped trying to be ‘funny’ at the start of each episode. It is clear that Zara feels cringe as well when Mish tries to make immature jokes, which creates an awkward tension… just stick to what you do best!

The original ethos is gone. Podcast episodes are recap reporting and presenting tik-tok opinions and commentary as facts. The days of smart insights and analysis are gone. It’s been frustrating to listen to the podcast for a while; but the recent surrogacy episode - which was presented as fact, but was an unresearched, cruel opinion piece & the podcast response (or lack there of) has been the final straw for this previous shamemore subscriber. I can still keep up with the zeitgeist with much better insight from the rest is entertainment, big small talk, SYSCA

The surrogacy episode. Don’t listen. They tried to explain an article from the UN and instead left many in distraught with no apology and 100% entitlement. This show was good but I need a break now and will be cancelling my Shameful subscription.
