Pearls of Consulting Wisdom
This is an excellent podcast for iOS developers who are already or are thinking about becoming indepenent consultants/freelancers.
David interviews iOS consultants from different parts of the world with different backgrounds, experiences and services focus. The questiosns that he asks are very important and the insights and advise of the guests are invaluable. The conversations that take place are the kind that you'd want to have if you had access to those consultants!
While there is a lot to get you motivated and encouraged, this is not a podcast where you'll only hear about rosy things. Guests often speak about the "feast and famine" periods, the challenging projects, hectic deadlines, etc.
Beyond the experiences and advise, one of the takeaways for me is getting a glimpse of the human-side of those interviewed; the uncertainties, the mistakes and lessons learned. Behind the tech talk and experience, it's just another fellow human being trying their best to make a decent living, but being professional and proud of their craft along the way!
