CrossBread — A Comedy Musical ABC listen

Twin brother and sister Josh and Joan Burns formed CrossBread, the hugely successful Christian Rap duo from Boronia in Melbourne's outer suburbs back in 2015. The band briefly lit up GodTube in Australia and became Christian hip-hop superstars, with hits such as "It’s Just Jesus" and "A Christian on a Mission (ain’t a Christian to be dissin’)".
Over six episodes, their former social media manager, Ken Lim, will dig into the archives to trace their origins working in a donut shop, why it all fell apart so quickly, and their biggest regrets — like why a brother and sister would name their band "CrossBread". The Bible might be the greatest story ever told. But this could easily be the second or third best.

This was hilarious. I laughed at and with. I listened on a long drive, and that was perfect.
Comedic Genius
Crossbread is a work of comic & musical genuis. The talents of Declan Fey , Megan Washington, Chris Ryan & the Crossbread team are exceptional.
The creation of this show has been divinely inspired.
We are introduced to the audacious, rambunctious, anarchic Josh & his sarcasm filled sister Joan. Joan’s moral base line is the only aspect that helps with a reality check of their unexpected situation.
We join these talented twins as they embark on a unexpected rise to the heights of Christian fame. What starts off as a one off performance to impress a girl & get some cash suddenly morphs into a snowball based on lies that gets out of control.
Threaded throughout are hysterical moments triggering many giggles.
A high calibre production that truly captures all the cultural elements of being Australian.
I particularly appreciated the cameo from legendary iconic actor John Waters playing ‘The Rev’. One of my new favourite comics Aaron Chen playing Ken. Also loved Pradeep .. well I did, until he switched sides.
Excellent music including the works of ‘John the Rapptist’. It was wonderful to once again hear the talents of Megan Washington. Do Universal have her on some type of indentured servitude ??
Ah.. the Faustian style contracts from Record Companies.
Interesting fact , I only became aware of Crossbread via an American Podcast- The Truth doing a promo ; another awesome show.
