Best birding podcast out there
This is the best birding podcast out there! If you like birds, and even if you don’t, you should get around it. Every measurable metric in my life has improved since I’ve started listening to this podcast, and you could experience the same euphoria!
Pretty good 👍
Just one criticism. If you’re going to have a strong opinion on historical issues then you need to properly research them.
The ‘massacre’ carried out by Major Mitchell and his party of explorers was in retaliation to a large so called ‘war party’ of around 150 armed Aboriginal men following them for a number of days.
Mitchell’s men ambushed the aborigines at a place now called Mt Dispersion and killed at least 7 of them.
Mitchell called it ‘self defence’ but his critics have argued that he should have tried to negotiate with them first.
