High Stakes poker vet DGAF hit rock bottom in 2017, after twice rising to the top of the poker world. He embarks on his "3rd Rise" homeless, buried in debt, with no bankroll, and with bills piling up by the day. He also has "Poker PTSD" after too many years in the game and one entire year filled with coolers and bad beats...
Ride along as he attempts to do the impossible--make one last comeback under extreme duress, while wrestling his demons and working on himself everyday, and also, being the very best single dad he can be!
This podcast is a documentary for the open-minded who love comeback stories, crazy journeys, human nature, self-examination, brutal honesty, and POKER.

Puts a smile on my dial
This is my new favourite podcast. Pity it’s a bit hard to find (it doesn’t come up on iTunes with a “poker” search), but whatever. I just spent 10 hours while driving a truck catching up on episodes and it felt like about 4 hours.
DGAF’s got a talent for this so, in the words of Molly Meldrum, “do yourself a favour” and subscribe. 👍
Real life stuff from creative (and very human) poker pro
These days poker pros are so often seen as emotionless bots, computing ranges and bet-sizings, headphones over the ears, shades over the eyes, scarf wrapped around a pulseless neck. But poker doesn't have to be this way, since, at heart, it is a social game, bursting with all kinds of information, often on the periphery of awareness. By placing his poker sessions in a lived context---whether that be replacing a headlight on his car, preparing forensic reports for a clinical psychologist or coaching his kids at basketball---DGAF shows how richly human the poker grind can be (once we finally get to the table, that is); of greatest value are the hands themselves, mostly played in Vegas, where DGAF's experience and courage come to the fore, particularly in the way he reads his opponents and customises each play, taking acute advantage of how he’s perceived at the table. This is a raw audio-log of a long-time pro, who combines intuition with analytical thinking, treats his opponents with respect (no matter the stake/their skill level) and shows how there's always treasure to be found, everytime we sit down to play, so long as we’re prepared to risk those chips when it matters.
