Episode 16 with Olympic Bronze Medallist Desiree Henry Unlocking Your Mind

    • Mental Health

My guest is an Olympic Bronze medallist Desiree henry. Desiree is a Great Britain sprinter and has had great success in her career so far and is still only 24. She has won a Bronze medal in the 4x 100 metre relay at the Rio Olympics at age just 20. She has also won a silver medal at the 2017 London world championships and a Gold medal at the European championships both in the 4x100 metre relay.

What makes her career so unique is not only the success she has experienced from a young age, but the serious injuries she’s had to overcome, that has sharpened her mindset and also motivated her to be the best athlete she can be.

During the conversation we discuss where her athletic career started, who inspires her, her main motivation, overcoming potential career-ending injuries, having success at a young age, her mindset towards training, and advice she has for others.
