Ask an Advisor: Dylan Pargiter-Green - When can I retire, is private school worth it & screwing up in your 30s

Ask an Advisor: Dylan Pargiter-Green - When can I retire, is private school worth it & screwing up in your 30s

Dylan Pargiter-Green is a Director and Financial Advisor at Bold Wealth. He specialises in helping older Australians prepare for retirement.
While we are still (sadly) a few years (decades) away from retirement, we wanted to ask Dylan the common mistakes he sees in his older clients that we can take steps to avoid today. We also wanted to discuss some of the big life milestones to come - settling down with a partner, having kids, navigating the cost of education, preparing for retirement - and how we can best prepare for them today.
If you would like to speak to Dylan, fill out the form on our website and we'll put you in touch.

Expert: Dion Hershan - Avoid the Mundane 7 | Yarra Capital

Dion Hershan is Executive Chairman and Head of Australian Equities at Yarra Capital. Today on the podcast, he gives us a new name for the largest stocks on the Aussie share market: The Mundane 7 (made up of the big 4 banks - Commonwealth, NAB, ANZ and Westpac - and the 3 large miners - BHP, Rio Tinto and Fortescue).
In this episode Dion advises us to avoid the Mundane 7 and shares where he thinks the biggest growth opportunities in the Aussie share market reside: the ASX 200 outside the biggest 20 companies.
In this episode we also dive deep on two companies that Dion thinks exemplify the opportunities outside the Mundane 7 - CAR Group (CAR) and NextDC (NXT).

Great listen

An advice podcast listener, I have enjoyed the boys and the difference of ideas always put forward. I find the podcast can help the basic investor or even the investor is heavy into the space. Great job.

Aussie 2.0.1 ,

Brilliant partners of the journey of investing.

I started listening to Equity Mates about 18 months ago, after finding them during my content consumption phase of falling down the rabbit hole of starting to invest. I am so glad I found them, I got answer to all my questions, I learned new questions to ask, I was equipped with tools and resources to support and continue my learning, all while feeling like I have was having a chat with good mates down at the pub. The style and approachability of the variety of content is easy and digestible. And because of all of this I have a brokerage account, a core of ETF’s, living that DCA life and feeling good that future me is going to look back on present me and say “glad you spent time hanging out with your Equity Mates”.
